On his Behance profile, Paul shared a collection called “Abandoned Blade Runner 02”.
Is this concept art from an official Blade Runner 2 film that was proposed and concerned before Blade Runner 2049, a different Blade Runner or just a personal project from Paul?
The art shows a towering fortress built into a mountain and surrounded by wilderness. It doesn’t feel traditionally Blade Runner-y.
On the other hand, it’s possible it imagine this strange building being a crowded and dark city left stranded after some sort of disaster or being a secret mega-factory hidden in the wilds from which an army of replicants venture forth.
What do you think? Dramatically different from anything Blade Runner has ever hinted at and therefore highly unlikely to be anything but a personal project? Or could this be a hint at what might have been a radical re-inventing of Blade Runner?
