I’m kinda obsessed with the Audible business model. You pay a subscription, but it’s not an all you can eat. You get one credit a month, and with that credit, you can buy any book no matter how much it would cost.
I’ve written about how I think those credits should be spent and those few books that made me break my system already. I’ll write about it again too as I’m nearly finished a price analysis of a few geeky genres. Yep, that’s my weekend spent wisely.
Mid-way through my price analysis, Audible goes and turns 14. How does it celebrate its second year as a teenager? It reduces 100 books to just £3. Spoiler; my price analysis suggests you should pay cash, not credit when the price drops to £3.
I can’t confirm the sale is live outside the UK. Even if I navigate through Audible’s geo-redirection rules, I can’t access or guess the right URL for today’s collection of discounted 100 books. It seems unlikely the sale would only happen in the UK, though. It may just be a matter of timezones.

It looks as if Audible plans on rotating through 100 books each day. They say;
Celebrate with 100 hand-picked audiobooks for £3 each, every day for 7 days.
This means a degree of sniping might be needed to get the best of the deals. To be honest, checking in every day for seven days is going to be a challenge, but I did so well in their recent Sci-Fi sale, I know how much sense it makes to try.
Are you an Audible user? If not; does the subscription model and credit system put you off?
