I think Zavvi and Marvel’s commercial teams are having a bit of a romance. Or perhaps it’s a commance? And it’s all about the exclusive. The online retailer just announced a host of deals and pre-orders.
Let’s start with the only ‘order now’ and non-exclusive news in the long list of news worth reporting on.
Marvel multi-buy megabundle
There are more deals the multi-buy than in that header artwork. There are t-shirts involved too. Zavvi do caution this is for a limited time but for now, are offering two DVDs for only £12 and 4K Ultra HD in pairs for £30.
Spider-man: Far from Home 4K Ultra HD Collector’s Edition Steelbook
I’m used to seeing collector’s edition steelbooks sell out. I’m not used to seeing them sell out before all the artwork has been revealed. Isn’t the point of the collector’s edition that it comes with exclusive artwork that sets it apart from the mass market release?
At least we know what’s in it:
- Spider-Man: Far From Home SteelBook (with title on spine).
- Brand new light up slipcase featuring character artwork.
- Pull out gift box – A New Exciting Concept to be revealed very soon!
- Collector’s Edition Iconic Postcards
- 6 Die-Cast Zinc Alloy Printed Pins.
There will only be 2,000 sold worldwide.
Marvel Pop! Advent calendar
Geek Native has run plenty of stories about how the best, most geeky, advent calendars have sold out way before Christmas. I guess it’s becoming a bit of a hot potato as Zavvi are taking pre-orders and promising to deliver on time.
We’re reminded that last year the Pop! Mini Advent Calendar sold out globally. Yeah, we know!
Marvel Legends Series: Engame Power Gauntlet
The Hasbro Marvel Legends Series Avengers: Endgame Power Gauntlet Articulated Electronic Fist (to use the full name) is also on pre-order. If only Thanos had thought about that rather than marching through the Galaxy with an army of terror as he hunted for the six Infinity Stones.
This fist moves and the lights pulsate, there are sound effects and the ability to rip through time and space*.
