Guardians of Umbra is described as a ‘Telsapunk’ game. That’s a new punk for me, but I immediately know what Bumblebear Games mean by it. The campaign was for $2,000, and today, with 24 days still on the clock, they’ve sailed into $2,071 from 64 backers. You can follow the campaign via their Kickstarter page.
The RPG is a setting for Savage Worlds Adventure Edition with the usual permissions from Pinnacle Entertainment Group.
It’s a game where both sides of in World War II were sold supernatural super weapons by Nathaniel Cain and beings known as aos si’, which look like creatures from myth and legend, started to appear on Earth. The aos si’ have every reason to hate humanity as we’ve kidnapped their goddess.
It’s a game in which the Irish Empire has conquered Great Britain, Naxis march around in mech-like armour suits and the Tesla Corps have played us all for fools and come out as the dominant force on Earth.
You can grab the Guardians of Umbra jumpstart for free right now. If you like what you see, then a PDF of the core rules costs $10 in a pledge, and the combination of the core rules and GM’s guide costs $20.
A print on demand voucher, paper minis and core rules will set you back $20, and you can step up to $40 get print-on-demand options for most things.
