This news might not come as a surprise, but Atlas Games’ Magical Kitties RPG is tearing through Kickstarter, ripping up campaign targets and earning thousands of dollars.
You can follow the kitties to their Kickstarter page.
A pledge of $15 gets you the digital kitties. That means the PDF of the rulebook, of The River City Adventures, The Big Adventure, Power Cards and all other digital content unlocked through stretch goals.
A pledge of $25 will get you a standard edition of the game plus the digital content. The game will ship worldwide but note that the retailer tier is restricted to the US only. This restriction might be a sign the game itself will be harder to find than usual in local (non-US) stores.
The standard edition comes with 48 kitty treat tokens and six blue dice. It also comes with the solo adventure, which I think is an essential thing for a game like this to have, and the River City Adventures book.
The deluxe edition has six custom dice instead of the standard blue dice, has a foil sleeve and a deck of power cards with the Alien Invasion book as well.
Magical Kitties is an RPG in which you play a cat with powers. Your role is to protect your human.
Stretch goals are tumbling. There’s now going to be 50 pre-printed character sheets in each box, a new book called Hometown: The Wild Ones, a shiny UV spot on the box (to distract cats) and Hometown: Mars Colony (purchasable as an add-on).
It seems likely that the Talent Cards, which unlock at $40K raised, will also make it into the box.
