Elysium is one of the Titan Powers in Mutant: Year Zero and such there might be gamers who consider the knowledge of it to be a spoiler for the first game. If that might be you, don’t read on, escape via this link and be redirected to another entirely random game article.
Still here? Good. So are humans.
You see, some people were resourceful enough to survive the Red Plague. These rich and influential people dig deep underground and created the enclave of Elysium, naming it after the meadows of eternal Spring of Greek mythology.
Except, it goes wrong. Humanity does not trust itself. Conflicts break out. The four powerful families that funded Elysium enter a cold war of sorts, and it becomes a gilded cage.
To maintain order and to protect the enclave, the Houses of Elysium 1 create the Judicators. It is the Judicators who fight crime and investigate mysteries.
In Mutant: Elysium PCs take on the role of Judicators. The RPG can be played as a standalone game, or as a Mutant: Year Zero expansion.
The game has rules for playing enclave humans and the web of contacts and powerful allies that House members have access to. There’s a full-colour map of Elysium I and the campaign Guardians of the Fall.
Mutant: Elysium is the third of the standalone expansions Free League Publishing has produced for Mutant Year Zero, following Mutant: Genlab Alpha and Mutant: Mechatron.
The game has been available on sites like DriveThruRPG in Swedish since 2017 and now this English language release can be bought from Free League’s store. It will be in retailers after Gen Con.
