Fed up of your fantasy RPGs feeling like western Europe? Or perhaps your players know European and African mythology too well to be surprised any more? The illustrated Filipino folklore book for D&D called Islands & Aswangs might be the supplement for you.
This is a Kickstarter project that’s going well. At the time of writing, there are 20 days to go, and of the CA$5,000 goals, more than CA$12,000 has been pledged. You can follow progress at the campaign page.
A pledge of CA$ (about £9) will get you the PDF. Shipping of paper books is restricted to only the United States of America and Canada. This is such a shame as I would absolutely have gone for that option at CA$50.
There are stories in here and stats for the likes of manananggals, divine diwatas, and tricksy duwendes. I’ve no idea what any of those things are; that’s precisely the point of the book.
It looks like there’s additional funding come in as ArtReacch Toronto is credited as the principal cash supplier. That explains the slick video.
