Have you ever attempt to surprise your players only to have your evil GM moved foiled because someone spotted the scenery, battle map or monster minis you had put aside?
This pop-up town square from RPG Papercrafts might be the solution you need. It’s flat enough to hide in your pocket when it is closed.
RPG Papercrafts is based in Utrecht in The Netherlands and sells the town via Etsy.
The town works as a map. It’s 16×16 with 1-inch squares factored into the design. It’s built from paper, heavy paper and cardstock as to provide as much structure and support as possible.
It folds pretty flat!
The town is coloured by hand and has four different locations. One of the corners is a dock or a port, and this means the village can be a handy or unexpected stop off for a gaming group currently sailing along the coast or could become the surprise start of a nautical adventure.
When you’re done with the encounter, the town folds back down along its creases and is held closed with a little peg. Tempted? You can check out a slower video of the town building process over at Etsy.
