Kobold Press’ 5e magic supplement Deep Magic has passed the $100,000 line with more than a week for the project still to collect pledges. The publisher set the campaign target at $20,000. You can see progress and the current total over at the campaign page.
This D&D supplement has more than 600 new and compiled spells. That’s more material for paladins, rangers, clerics as well as wizards and sorcerers.
There are 12 new schools of magic; angelic magic, blood magic, chaos magic, dragon magic, elemental magic, ring magic, rune magic, shadow magic, temporal magic, void magic and winter magic.
Deep Magic also introduces 15 more divine domains.
Some of the designers associated with the project are Jeff Lee, Wolfgang Baur, Matt Corley, Kelly Pawlik, Shawn Merwin, Steve Winter, Dan Dillon, Chris Harris, Greg Marks, Marc Radle and Marcel Mercado.
A pledge of $25 means you get a copy of Deep Magic in PDF. You also get to submit a spell.
Good news, if you submit a spell and it’s accepted, then you’ll get paid for your efforts. That’s a nice touch by Kobold Press.
If you need the new rules in hardback, then it’s $49 plus shipping.
There’s a limited edition too, which is about to sell out, that will set you back $95 and shipping. Nice going, Kobolds!
