Scavenger is a campaign setting and an art book for a survival RPG, using D&D 5e rules, set on a dying world.
It’s flying on Kickstarter, fast approaching 500% funded, at the time of posting, and with nearly three weeks still left for people to join the project. You can back or follow at the campaign page.
There is a free Scavenger playtest, 20-pages long, which you can download from DriveThruRPG right now.
A pledge of $20 will get you the PDFs for Scavenger, Scavenger Adventure Gear, the character sheet, world map and all unlocked stretch goals.
A pledge of $40 gets you those PDFs, plus your name in the book and the core rules in hardcover. Due to the success of the campaign, already all hardcovers will come in a faux leather slipcase.
The book is about 175 pages long and is also a fantasy anthology set in the world of Akara. Akara is dying, its cultures are doomed, but it is connected to a strange and uncharted world called Torn. Strange powers come from Torn.
Scavenger playtest review
Danger Dungeon, a YouTube channel, posted a playtest of Scavenger back in July of this year.
We hear a lot about how Scavenger is evocative of Dark Sun (a good thing) and even some computer games.
