It’s been a busy week for Pinnacle Entertainment Group. The publisher of Savage Worlds has expanded out of tabletop publishing and into fiction.
Wendigo Tales: Book One is a collection of short horror stories set in Savage Worlds, and it is currently funding beyond the crowdfunding target on Kickstarter.
Authors on the project include Shanna Germain, Tim Waggoner, Aaron Rosenberg, Matthew Cutter, and PEG’s president Shane Lacy Hensley.
Hensley told fans;
“We released our first two ‘seasons’ of Wendigo Tales in e-book format. Those have been very successful, so now we’re moving up into the world of deluxe illustrated and printed versions under the direction of the extremely prolific Jeff Mariotte and Deadlands Brand Manager Matthew Cutter. One of my own stories made it in, and I’m honored to be among such company!”
Pinnacle has also hired Ron Blessing to be their community manager. That means he’s the chap you might meet at conventions and he’ll be hanging around the forums and social media.
Blessing is clearly a true fan of Savage Worlds as he’s already started a new podcast called Savage Interludes.
The forums themselves have also expanded with Savage Worlds Adventure Edition threads and post-SWADE settings created. Clint Black and Ron Blessing will be moderating.
There are also new and expanded licensing options from PEG, including one for ‘Media Network content’. This is suitable if you’re streaming your Savage World games, or creating content for blogs, and are giving it away for free.
