After several attempts to turn Joe Hill and Gabriel Rodriguez’s popular comic book series into a TV show, it looks like Netflix has done it.
The streaming platform has confirmed the show will premiere on Friday, February 7th, in 2020.
Published by IDW comics, Locke and Key is about the three Locke siblings and their mother moving into their ancestral home, Keyhouse, after the death of their father.
Locke & Key is a fantasy/horror/mystery all in one, and the siblings soon discover magical keys that may be connected to their father’s death and a demon.
The show is from Carlton Cuse (Lost, Bates Motel) and Meredith Averill (The Haunting of Hill House) and it stars Darby Stanchfield (Scandal) as Nina Locke, Jackson Robert Scott (IT and IT 2) as Bode Locke, Connor Jessup (American Crime) as Tyler Locke, Emilia Jones (Horrible Histories) as Kinsey Locke, Bill Heck (The Ballad of Buster Scruggs) as Rendell Locke, Laysla De Oliveira as Dodge, Thomas Mitchell Barnet as Sam Lesser, and Griffin Gluck (American Vandal) as Gabe.
Are you looking forward to Locke & Key? Do you think Netflix can pull the notoriously hard graphic novel to TV conversion off?
