Ash Maczko has taken the first-ever Lady Death game to Kickstarter and, at the time of writing, with 21 days still left on the clock has funded the game.
It’s a battle board game that can be played solo or with two friends. Unusually, there’s no text at all in the campaign section of the pitch until the mandatory risks section. You can check out more at the campaign page.
A pledge of $45 is needed for the game. There are pledge tiers before that, but they won’t get you the whole game, so watch out for that.
The early adopter: bronze bundle is half-way gone and popular. That costs $60 and gets you extra promo cards. The SWORD edition is even more popular, which just gets you the variant box, deluxe dice, counters and variant cards. It’ll set you back $70.
Created in 1991 by Brian Pulido, Lady Death began life as a violent anti-hero in a comic book but has chilled somewhat as she has become more mainstream.
While the very original Lady Death might just have been the hallucination that encouraged Evil Ernie to kill everyone on Earth. The more modern, better known, Lady Death became her goddess-like self after spending time in Hell battling against her father.
