The Children of Eriu is an RPG from Andrew Valkauskas and set in their Fate of the Norns game universe.
Fate of the Norns, published initially by Pendelhaven, dates back to 1993 when a free 80-page demo was a popular discovery to email on to your gaming buddies. The full game was much more extensive and well over 300-pages.
It looks like The Children of Eriu is proving to be a popular find as well. Valkauskas asked for CA$17,900 in funding and, at the time of writing, has CA$22,600 or so and with 23 days still to run. You can discover the latest total and pledge at Kickstarter.
As with Fate of the Norns, Andrew Valkauskas has gone deep into research and history mode. The author promises an RPG that’s authentic and accurate.
A pledge of CA$30 is the first tier that unlocks the Children of Eriu in PDF. There’s a second book, the Celtic Cyclopedia, that unlocks earlier in PDF and then again in print but that’s not the same thing. The Children of Eriu print book will take a pledge of CA$65.
The CelticCycopedia is expected out in February 2020 and the RPG a month later.
There are tarot and even wooden Futhark runes available for backers who want to go large on the campaign.
