A few weeks ago, we asked “Do you always have to kill the monster?” and got 15 alternative suggestions.
That was a project that came from talking to some of the team behind the D&D 5e DM’s Guild Book of Seasons: Solstices. Writers like Alicia Furness, Cat Evans, Jamie O’Duibhir, Lynne M. Meyer and a half dozen others all contributed to this anthology of adventures suitable for Tier 1 through to Tier 4 characters.
As the name implies, Book of Seasons: Solstices is a themed collection of adventures based on Summer and Winter. The NPCs, magic items and even the weird magic found inside fit with that. It’s an inclusive collection that’s already become a Copper Best Seller at the Guild.
There’s some lovely art in the do you always have to kill the monster? post in the form of the Festival of Burning Wreath by Xan Larson. As it happens, Geek Native was sent three more images, and while there wasn’t space to use them in the first post, they’re good enough to become a gallery here.
