Jared Leto is back in another superhero movie, and Sony have just given us a teaser trailer for it.
Morbius, the Living Vampire, first appeared as A Spider-man villain but managed to walk the antihero path.
It was a change in the Comics Code Authority that allowed Morbius to appear in the first place, with the 1971 update to the strict rules to allow vampires and some other supernatural horrors into comics.
Dr Michael Morbius has a genius-level intellect and is a trained biologist and biochemist. Once he becomes a living vampire, he adds superhuman strength, speed and stamina along with flight, healing and hypnotism.
Oh, but he does need human blood to survive.
In Marvel’s Universe, he has a long-standing feud with Blade, no surprises there, and equally has teamed up with Doctor Strange on occasion.
In the movie, Matt Smith will be playing Loxias Crown, the former friend turned villain.
Morbius is due out on the 31st of July, 2020.
