Matthew Dawkins, fresh from They Came From Beneath the Sea! has a new project at Onyx Path Publishing. It’s one that channels the 60s and 70s b-movies and encompasses the horror, sex, suspense of the genre!
They Came from Beyond the Grave! will, as per Onyx Path regulations, get a Kickstarter however, the company is already working on first drafts. Those will likely be finished before anyone is asked to back the project.
Eager? You’ll have to wait before you get your claws on the finished RPG; it’s scheduled for a 2021 release.
They Came from Beyond the Grave! joins the Storypath System family along with the second edition of Scion and Trinity.
In this case, the game will channel classic Hammer horrors, Amicus and even Roger Corman libraries.
If you’re wondering how this could all work then check out Ben Jackson-Ellery’s Genre Police article It Came from the Cinema Screen! which clearly sets out how and why b-movies work as a genre and can be applied to RPGs.
Or you can check out Onyx Path’s press release about the game that came out earlier this week.
