This looks interesting. Forbidden Planet have posted a Doctor Who: The Time Wars family board game to their website. It’s on pre-order and its expected to be in the warehouse by July 25th of this year.
Not only is this an 11th Doctor Who game, with the illustrations depicting Matt Smith and Karen Gillian but the cover shows the new daleks (with the white supreme dalek and mysterious yellow eternal dalek just behind. Will the game reveal any more insight into what the eternal dalek might do?
The cover also features one of the Weeping Angels (which we might guess are a Moffat favourite) and the plastic-headed monster that features so predominantly in the Doctor Who season 5 trailer.
It’s produced by Imagination Games but, annoyingly, their website isn’t up to date and doesn’t mention the game.
We do know that The Time Wars game is supposed to have a funky “flipboard” for game play; perhaps a playing board that switches around as events shape the past or future?
Update, 1st May, 2010 I’ve not been contacted back by the game designers but Play.com have also added the pre-order.
