EN World, a popular RPG community and news site, surveyed members to see which games they were most looking forward to this year. The results were published today.
- Dune by Modiphius
- Vaesen – Nordic Horror Roleplaying by Free League Publishing
- Cyberpunk RED by R. Talsorian Games
- Fallout by Modiphius
- Warhammer: Age of Sigmar by Cubicle 7
- Swords of the Serpentine by Pelgrane Press
- Rivers of London by Chaosium
- Stargate Roleplaying Game by Wyvern Gaming
- Fading Suns 4th Edition by Ulisses Spiele
- Cortex Prime by Fandom Tabletop
British Modiphius appears twice; for their other Fallout RPG, the beta testing of which has just finished taking applications, and Frank Herbert’s Dune.
There’s not much been released about the Dune RPG, and it’s worth noting the rights are actually with Gale Force Nine who have brought Modiphius on to make the book.
EN World has run this survey six times previously, asking gamers what the most anticipated tabletop RPGs of 2013, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2019 have been.
Sometimes the same game gets listed more than once due to delays or early anticipation. For example, Modiphius’ Conan Adventures In An Age Undreamed Of was the 4th most anticipated game of 2016 and the 5th of 2017.

Geek Native has added the publishers of these games to a spreadsheet and calculated which publishers appear the most often. Modiphius has had four appearances in the last two years, and this has catapulted the publisher to the top.
Free League Publishing is next with five different games making the charts over the year and Chaosium, which got a mention in the first poll as gamers looked forward to Call of Cthulhu 7th edition.
