Turn your Google Nest Mini into a cylon cat

Here’s a work of design art that seems to register as either cute or creepy with different people.

The design, known as Caat, is a silicone skin home for your Google Nest Mini (aka Google Mini). Created by Odd-On, the cast turns the fabric speaker to face you which results in the LEDs becoming something of a cylon-eye that watches closely.

There’s even room for the USB charger cable to become the Caat’s tail. There are three colours to pick from; White, Red and Black and they’ll set you back $25.

Odd-On does run an Instagram account but if the studio is working on any other designs, they don’t show them. The creepy factor of the Caat seems to be recognised by one of the posts, though, which shows the strange cybernetic creature casting a demonic shadow for Halloween.
