Staff at the offices of Viking Direct spent a whole day animating a Baby Yoga out of Post-Its.
As Viking Direct is a stationery company that sells Post-Its I’m pretty sure the time was recorded as Marketing. That said, they have previously argued that art in the workplace makes for happier workers.
In this case, 1,023 “paper pixels” were needed to draw Baby Yoda and that meant 1,317 Post-It Notes were required to complete the stop-motion animation.
It took a team of 12 some 4.5 hours to create the initial Baby Yoda and then another 3 hours to animate the alien.
Baby Yoda, of course, is the surprise star of Disney+ The Mandalorian series. The Mandalorian and Disney+ isn’t even out here in the UK, and yet these stationary office staffers have been quite able to animate the character.
It’s perhaps not surprising that Disney announced they wanted to move forward Disney+’s launch date amid concerns of piracy and spoilers.
