Pinnacle have pounced on the rumoured bidding war for the Fear Agent TV show to promote their Fear Agent RPG for Savage Worlds.
Fear Agent was a sci-fi comic book series that ran from 2005 to 2011, that’s an impressive 32 series. Written by Rick Remender and initially published by Image Comics before moving to Dark Horse, Fear Agent is the story of the alcoholic Heathrow Huston and his adventures in space.
The long-running adventures mix action, horror and plot twists.
Amazon has won the rights to the TV show. Seth Rogan has had success with Preacher and then The Boys, and now Fear Agent is his next project. Rogan and his Point Grey partners Evan Goldberg and James Weaver will be working with Matt Tolmach (The Batman) and David F. Sandberg (Shazam!).
We’re told there will be time travel, clones, clones of clones and clones of clones of clones. Whisky and alien invasions, while Heath Huston is trying to win his ex-wife back.
Pinnacle Entertainment Group’s RPG uses their very popular Savage Worlds system and stretches to 192-pages of core rules. The game costs between $17.99 to $35.99 depending on whether you go for the PDF, softback or hardback at PEG’s store and whether you take advantage of 10% off sale they’ve launched to celebrate the news.
Fans of the Savage Worlds Adventure Edition can also use the Savage Worlds version of the Fear Agent RPG thanks to the Fear Agent Conversion guide you can download for free from PEG’s site.
