I’ve a stack of Jon Hodgson map tiles behind me. The Kickstarter was painless, which is a plus, but it means I’ve invested in that shape, size and style of map tile. It’s a mixed blessing that he’s returned to Kickstarter with more.
Why a mixed blessing? They’re not free, but they are good. You can check out the pitch on Kickstarter here.
Let’s take a quick look at the new sets;
- Backstreets
- Evil Forest
- Sci-fi Utopian
- Sci-fi Dystopian
- Water
- Moorland Ruin
- Desert
- Hillfort
- Linking Tiles 2
Nine, again, but two are sci-fi. Stretch goals have unlocked water, moorland ruin, desert, hillfort and more linking tiles.
You can also select tile designs from the first Kickstarter, and that’ll make selecting your tiles quite a challenge.
Here’s how the costs break down. £16 for one set, £31 for two and £45 for three. We’re saving an incremental £1 with each additional pack.
It’s £58 for four, £71 for five, £85 for six and if want them all minus the sci-fi then pay £98 for seven.
Lastly, it’s £110 for eight, £121 for nine and £134 for ten. If you want; you can go all the way up to sixteen.
