There are only a few days left on this short RPG Zine project on Kickstarter. Created by Quinn Vega, For the Honor is a GM-less and Sha-Ra inspired tabletop game.
It’s funded, at over $4,500 in pledges against the ask of $1,500. You can join in and read up more over at the campaign page.
A pledge of $10 will get you the PDF copy of the Zine, and $15 will get you a physical copy, but you’ll need to pay shipping too. You can pay higher, if you want, to support the community and about %10 of backers have.
The Zine itself is 5 1/2″ by 8 1/2″ in size and about 40 pages long. It’s not a huge book, but that’s the point of Zine RPGs.
For the Honor is set on Athera, a land full of magical people and creatures, that is invaded by the Legion that arrived from space.
In response to the invasion, the kingdoms of Athera united to fight the Legion back to their stronghold. Then, frustratingly, the alliance shattered. The game picks up as the Legion is, once again, increasingly aggressive and the need for another pact is being talked about.
There are four factions in the world; the Legion itself with its mysterious dark lord, the Kingdoms who one opposed the Legion together, the Rebellion led by the caring Matriarch who continue to fight the Legion and the people of The Wilds.
There’s an actual play “For the Honor” podcast with Quinn Beiler with Lauren Faits and Eric Garneau if you’re looking for a sample of how the game runs.
