IDW Games’ latest Kickstarter is for Shadow of the Bat a Batman animated series board game. It’s part of the Adventures Universal Game System and fully compatible with it.
It’s a big Kickstarter. IDW is asking for $225,000 to fund the game and with 16 days to go, at the time of writing, they’ve got nearly $900,000. This will be a million-dollar Kickstarter. You can check out the details at the campaign page.
There are no low-cost pledge tiers, but Shadow of the Bat is a big game. A pledge of $125 (or about £97) gets you the basic game, the Kickstarter exclusive Alfred Pennyworth mini and all of the stretch goals.
The other tier, which most backers have gone for, costs $225 (about £174) which gets the core game, the Arkham Asylum expansion, the New Batman Adventures character pack, the Mask of the Phantasm story pack, the Mystery of the Batwoman story pack, Pennyworth and the Duplicant villain pack and they’re all Kickstarter exclusives.
The game is expected to ship in December of this year.
