Tales from the Loop is an art book by Simon Stålenhag but for me, and I suspect some other readers, it’s chiefly identified with Free League Publishing’s Tales from the Loop RPG.
The RPG, of course, is based on the art book. Both are works of wonder and easy to vanish into.
When is Tales from the Loop out? April 3rd. So, in other words, if you have Amazon Prime Video, then there’s little over a month to wait before we get to visit shy robot walkers hiding behind trees and some mystery…
Judging from the trailer, the premises seems unchanged. There’s a place/machine called The Loop and not only does that make impossible machines possible, but it also seems to be creating other phenomena.
It looks as if some of the set pieces in the trailer are recreations of scenes from Stålenhag’s art.
