Mutant Invasion! is a card pack supplement for Secrets of the Crucible. Secrets of the Crucible is, in turn, a sourcebook for Fantasy Flight Games’ Genesys RPG and lets the system run a KeyForge game.
Mutant Invasion! is a pack of 40 large cards that expands the original sourcebook. It adds new playable species, rules for the dark aember and its mutations, locations, more adventure builders and 30 NPCs.
On the surface, this is good news for Secrets of the Crucible players except the sourcebook isn’t out yet. Furthermore, it is widely understood that Fantasy Flight Games intends to discontinue their RPGs.
Despite Secrets of the Crucible’s uncertain fate, I imagine some KeyForge players will be keen to have the supplement. It may be the only one the RPG gets which will make it rare.
