Fantasy Flight Games are getting out of RPGs, but this week we saw glimmers of hopes for their popular series when a new KeyForge RPG supplement was announced.
At an event at GAMA last night, Fantasy Flight Games’ owners, Asmodee announced that the Star Wars RPG, Genesys and Legend of the Rings have been saved and a new publisher found.
A Spanish publisher called Edge Entertainment, also owned by Asmodee, will take the games.
Edge is best known for translating games from English into other languages, including all of FFG’s RPGs and even some D&D products. It’s not known for developing its own games.
Attendees were told the change in publisher would mean old books would be reprinted and new books made. The new books will still work with existing supplements.
