Nathan D. Paoletta has brought the second edition of the wrestling RPG World Wide Wrestling to Kickstarter, and the campaign is on track to be a gold medal-winning champion.
The target was $7,000, and despite a world, in crisis, nearly 700 backers have pledged over $28,000. At the time of writing; there are still 21 days to go.
There’s no pitch video. The campaign starts off with an introduction to the acclaim 2015 original The World Wide Wrestling RPG won and the explains that game, and the supplements since then, will be merged and updated.
You don’t need an in-depth knowledge of wrestling to play the game. You just have to like a bit of action and soap opera level drama.
You get the game for a pledge of $15. This doesn’t just get you a PDF, but it gets you an ePub too, along with print-ready files for printing play aids, including the move cards, at home.
The print book is ‘currently planned’ to be a graphic novel-sized softcover of ~200 pages. There’s the suggestion that if the campaign goes well, then this format will be upgraded. That’s yours for $28, but at $38 you’ll get the deck of Move Cards too.
T-shirts and multiple copies unlock at higher pledge tiers.
