Jamey Stegmaier has some of the world’s most acclaimed board games listed among his achievements. Yesterday he demonstrated how to play his latest and game and then gave it away for free.
You can download Nine Worlds here. That link opens up a Box.com PDF. It’s also version 2 of the game, but the demo video (for version 1) still makes sense.
There are instructions at the top of the page, but like so many board games (this is a ‘roll and write game’) are easier to understand after some context.
It’s a long video, and that’s because it’s a capture of a live stream with questions coming in over YouTube chat that Jamey responds too. (Escaping dice, also).
Rather nicely, this is a game you could play remotely with friends over Houseparty, Skype, Discord video, Google Hangouts, etc.
You might find some of the sections in Nine Worlds familiar. That’s because each section is inspired by a game already published by Stonemaier Games.
Once again, you can download the Nine Worlds gaming grid right here.
