Since lockdowns began to ripple across the globe, consigning people to their own homes, the tabletop industry has responded generously with free to download content.
Wizards of the Coast joined in with Dungeons & Dragons this week. In fact, they will be posting a new freebie every day.
Wizards free D&D downloads begin with four offerings;
- The D&D Adventurers League Player’s Guide with updated rules for creating and advancing characters in the organised play setting.
- In a similar vein, the updated D&D Adventurers League DM Guide.
- For a limited time, the 1st-level adventure Defiance in Phlan will also be free.
If you’re facing the daunting task of keeping kids amused during the lockdown, then the child-friendly Adventure with Muk activity book is now free.
Previously, WotC used Adventures with Muk in their fundraising efforts for the 2019 Extra Life drive.
There are placeholders for free content (but nothing there yet) for Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.
Wizards point out that some of the freebies will only be free for a limited time.
Dungeons & Dragons’ Basic Rules are also free to download.
