Timed perfectly to coincide with Amazon Prime Video’s sombre Tales from the Loop series, Free League Publishing have launched a Kickstarter for a Tales from the Loop board game.
The publisher of the Tales from the Loop RPG asked for SEK 500,000 to fund the project and already has SEK 1,150,000 pledged. That’s little over £40,000. You can follow the Kickstarter progress here.
Free to download print and play files are currently available. These are an excellent way to check out the game before deciding whether to back the project or not.
If you’re not a games shop then Free League have made it easy for you; if you want the standard edition then pledge SEK 599 (about $59 or £48), and it is yours, along with the shipping costs which will be added later.
Want the deluxe edition? That costs SEK 999 (about $99 or £80). The miniatures in the deluxe game are pre-painted by Dust Studios, and if you’re a horrible painter, like me, then that’s a big draw, but there’s that’s the only difference to the two options.
The game is designed by Martin Takaichi. Last year, Takaichi’s Crusader Kings board game came out, and it currently has a score of 7.0 on BoardGameGeek after over 450 ratings.
