In my very long (too long) to-do list, I have got a note about checking out the webcomic and accompanying RPG Crystal Heart.
Given that the RPG is currently a Pay What You Want, let’s take a quick look right now.
Eran Aviram and Aviv Or are two London-based Israeli gamers (yes, of V Squared fame) who have turned their Savage Worlds tabletop game into a webcomic.
You can check out Crystal Heart at the Up To 4 Players website or just jump to the start right here.
The webcomic begins with the pitch; power from sacrificing something important to you – your heart, and then character generation before exploding into an epic adventure.
The tabletop RPG setting, which, unsurprisingly uses Savage Worlds, was published on DriveThruRPG less than a year ago and has a recommended price of $20.00. It’s 216 pages. Right now, it’s a Pay What You Want and a Silver bestseller which, under OBS’s new rules, means people are paying for it.
The RPG includes rules for using (or misusing) crystals and crystals for PCs to find, there are guidelines on creating your own crystals, everything you need to know about the mysterious organisation called Syn, the LIve Lands and an eight adventure campaign.
Bonus The Crystal Heart graphic novels are also on DriveThruComics. They too are a Pay What You Want to download and have the added bonus of being nicely compiled and easy to read through. If I had known this earlier, I would have dug into Crystal Heart earlier!
