Okay, here’s my pitch – your sci-fi wargame needs a dramatic background, and for practical reasons, it would be advantageous if the background was also a lamp that could cast a friendly glow.
[No way!]
Although, how “friendly” the glow from this nuclear explosion is a matter of some concern! Enough to blow way orkboyz, perhaps?
The glowing diorama is the work of Evil Inc EU on Etsy. They’re based in Poland and already savvy to the sad fact that international knock-offs of their design are available for sale elsewhere.
The real deal bomb lamp is handmade, made of metal wire, wood, synthetic and real cotton. It was painted by hand, and A/C powered with a 5W filament LED light.
The blast is about 30cm in diameter and about 30-35cm in height, the model base extends that to about 40×30 although you can have custom orders in any size you want.
I was worried about shipping, but the diorama is packed with 5-layers of cardboard and wrapped several times in both bubble wrap and stretch film.
There’s a wait, though, as (not surprisingly) there’s a large number of orders for the £80 model. You may have up to a month before your project is shipped.
