I give it a so-so rating (4 out of 10 stars).
Yes I bought the book.
You can find some usefull things that you could use in a Star Wars campaign.
There is not enough info to run a stand alone campaign nor should you add it to d20 morden to try to run a Future SCI-FI game.
This book is ment to augment an existing campaign like Star Wars d20, Traveller T20, Dragonstar and/or Fading Suns.
I am always seeking new materials for Future SCI-FI d20.
In my opion the following books are better for a Future SCI-FI d20 campaign:
Star Wars d20 books: 6 to 10 Stars (depending on book)
Traveler T20: 10 stars
Traveler T20 Travelers Aid 1: 8 stars
DragonStar books: 4 to 6 stars (depending on book)
Mecha Companion d20: 8 stars
Spy Craft books: 4 to 6 stars (depending on book)
Mordern d20 books: 4 to 6 stars (depending on book)
Notice: I said Future SCI-FI d20 campaign
The above books cover about 97% to 99% of the material covered in Blood and Space.
The Blood and Space authors should have drop the classes, feat and skills (they are a dime a dozen).
They should have added more equipment: arms, armor, surival grear, vechiles, Starships with deck plans and ect.
Or have templetes to build your own aliens.
Or varient rules for the hazards of space and hostil planets.
They do have more ships weapons and that is the reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 2 stars
