Yesterday was Star Wars day and predictably dominated by the new Star Wars movie and series announcement. That wasn’t the only bit of Star Wars news, though.
The Op, the board game masters of the license mashup, announced Star Wars Talisman.
Talisman is a board game from Games Workshop in which characters with unique powers travel around a game board, on the role of a dice, either benefitting or being hurt by those random encounters until they are strong enough to step into the next section of the board.
In the Star Wars version of Talisman the ultimate section of the board, the end of the game, is Emperor Palpatine.
Players will be able to select from 12 different characters at the start of the game; Luke Skywalker, Darth Vader, Rey, Kylo Ren, Count Dooku and Obi-Wan Kenobi for example.
The game will retail for about $70 and the Op says it’ll be available in European, Middle Eastern and African regions.
The game box contains one custom game board, encounter cards, force cards, market cards, character cards, Jedi/Sith Holocron cards, Galactic Credit Chip pieces, stat boards, 6d6, 12 minis and one rulebook.
