In real life, Tharsis is a huge volcanic plateau near the equator of Mars. It’s also a sci-fi RPG from Choice Provisions that has been out since 2016.
Why talk about it today? Well, Fanatical has copies to give away for free.
The catch? You qualify for your free copy of Tharsis if there’s any left in stock and only if you spend at least £10 on other games. As this isn’t very much, I thought it was worth highlighting.
If you’ve not come across Fanatical before I imagine you might have some questions. They’re a legit version of some dodgy practices you might have seen elsewhere.
Essentially, with full agreement with publishers and platforms, Fanatical acquires large volumes of keys (like Steam keys) and sells them on to you at a lower cost than you would usually pay.
It means Fanatical takes a risk, they need to sell all the keys they have. It also means the store might not have the game you’re after. Some deals, like this Sanctuary bundle are time-limited too.
