We’ve seen the site Game on Tabletop, an RPG-centric crowdfunding platform, used before here on Geek Native. Paizo used them for Kingmaker and before running into money trouble Clockwork Publishing put Dark Conspiracy there. Now it’s Green Ronin’s turn.
The Book of Fiends has over 130 demons, devils and horrors from Planes with challenge ratings ranging from 0 to 31. Green Ronin is asking for $20,000 to fund the project and a few hours after launch they’re 15% of the way there. You can check out the details on the campaign page.
D&D 5e design team member Robert J. Schwalb is responsible for the stats and rules in the book. He’s joined by industry vets like Aaron Loeb (Book of the Righteous), Erik Mona (Paizo Publishing), and Chris Pramas (AD&D Guide to Hell).
$25 gets you a PDF copy of The Book of Fiends, and all the unlocked ‘Level Up’s (or stretch goals using Kickstarter speak) and $45 will get you both The Book of Fiends and The Book of the Righteous in PDF.
The print version (along with a PDF) is yours for $50 at the Pit Fiend tier. At the time of writing, this is the most popular level for backers.
As it happens, Green Ronin is connected to Game on Tabletop. The site was created by French company Black Book Editions, and it’s Black Book that Green Ronin has partnered with in France for a while now.
