You’ll likely have seen some pretty fancy masks designed to reduce the chances of your coughs spluttering germs on some innocent passersby. Watch catches my attention about this alien facehugger is that it’s affordable (£25) and readily available from Etsy.
The mask isn’t a medical grade one but will likely be a better barrier than, say, a scarf. There are two layers; the outside a tight-weave polyester and the inner one made from bamboo.
Each of these aliens is made by hand (which means the tail is extra) and the result if reusable (1/4″ ear loops) and machine washable. If you have got a beard, then the retailer Well Done Goods will make a slightly bigger one.
Rather nicely, there’s a sizable photograph gallery of customers wearing their masks, so you can see how the design looks on real people.
The catch? Not sure if I’m brave enough to wear this.
