I’ve no talent for miniature painting. Not even a little. Decades ago, when I last tried, I certainly had days when I got more paint on my fingers than on the right place on the mini.
Redgrass Games feel my pain, and it looks like thousands also agree. A Kickstarter to produce a smart “handle” for holding your minis, even rotating them 360°, has sailed past €140,000. You can check out the latest total on the campaign page.
It only takes a pledge of €12 (about £11) to get a solo pack; that’s a single blue handle magnet edition with the 360°, along with 15g of reusable mounting putty and a metal docking plate.
There’s the free ebook too, of course.
€17 gets you that and two additional caps and twice as much putty. In fact, you can go all the way up to €42 to get 12 swappable caps and 7 times as much putty.
Well over 700 backers have gone for that top tier. I guess people have lots of painting projects on at any one time.
If Redgrass Games have got their logistics right then, you won’t have long to wait either. The estimated delivery for this Kickstarter is this July.
