Mythic Odysseys of Theros is the next official D&D setting. It’s not a new creation, the realm is known to Planeswalkers of Magic: The Gathering.
The physical book is delayed at the printers, and won’t be out until July 21st but the digital versions, including Fantasy Ground and Roll20, are still on track for June 2nd.
Wizards of the Coast took to Twitter to share most of a table of contents from the book and to remind us that digital launch is coming.
I found it helpful squinting at the contents to see what’s in the book. I don’t think there are any surprises; this is the Greek-inspired Theros that we were expecting.
Mythic Odysseys of Theros Races
- Human
- Centaur
- Leonin
- Minotaur
- Satyr
- Trition
Mythic Odysseys of Theros Subclasses
- Bard- College of Eloquence
- Paladin – Oath of Glory
These are the new subclasses introduced by the book, at least. No doubt we’ll get a steer as to which classes are appropriate for the setting.
Mythic Odysseys of Theros Backgrounds
- Athlete
Just one new background, important for a Greek-themed setting and in hindsight odd that we’ve not seen it before.
Mythic Odysseys of Theros Gods
- Athreos
- Ephara
- Erebos
- Iroas
- Karametra
- Keranos
- Klothys
- Kruphix
- Mogis
- Nylea
- Pharika
- Phenax
- Purphoros
- Thassa
- Xenagos
