Over at EN World, Morrus has whisked up a free to download 30 page RPG.
The Awfully Cheerful Engine is inspired by West End Games’ Ghostbusters RPG and shows like Danger Mouse and Buffy.
The connection? Action comedy. Perhaps the inspiration for the project came from the news that the D&D movie directors are treating the project as an action-fantasy with comedy.
You can download the Awfully Cheerful Engine for free from the EN World servers.
It’s a colourful PDF with a background of yellow. If you prefer to print, then it’s designed in half-pages (A5), so you can turn the 30 days or so into a leaflet.
Morrus, aka Russ Morrissey, is an established game designer with credits like Judge Dredd & The Worlds of 2000 AD RPG to his name.
Now, I’m just waiting on Modiphius or Free League Publishing to announce that they’ve secured an official Ghostbusters RPG license…
