Prolific publisher Onyx Path has today announced a digital convention. Onyx Path Con will happen online from June 12th to the 14th.
As the lockdown has forced physical conventions of all shapes and sizes to cancel or delay, some smaller ones have appeared online. Publishers can see that there’s some demand for them and have a better handle on the effort required to run them.
Onyx Path Con will focus on tabletop roleplaying, offering virtual game sessions, TTRPG industry professional workshops and panels. The publisher isn’t doing this alone, though, they’ve partnered with Gehenna Gaming to boost the event.
Gehenna has shown success in the virtual space, launching VirtualHorror Con in April and attracting 18,000 viewers.
Many events at Onyx Path Con are free, but where money is collected, Onyx Path will be giving some of it back out to both the Thurgood Marshall College Fund and The Bodhana Group.
Attendees will also get the chance to benefit as Onyx Path have a giveaway schedule that keeps the freebies coming at very regular intervals.
You can now find Onyx Path Con and many others listed in Geek Native’s convention calendar.
