EA have just shown us what Star Wars: Squadrons looks and feels like ahead of EA Play on the 18th. It’s impressive.
You can be one of five heroic fighters in a squadron of rebel ships or play as the villainous space fascists of the Empire. You won’t be limited to just X-Wings or TIE Fighters, though, as the footage teases.
The game is set near the end of the Galactic Civil War and both sides are throwing everything they have against each other.
Star Wars: Squadrons will be out in October 2nd, of this year, and available on PS 4, Xbox One, Origin PC, Steam, Epic, PC and even VR on Playstation. It has cross-play support.
You’ll be able to plan skirmishes ahead of time with your squad in the online briefing rooms, and you’ll be able to modify your ship, shifting power around between systems.
