The original game was called Dungeon & Fighter and launched in Korea. It was called Arad Senki a year later, in 2006, when it came to Japan. By 2010, it was in America and known as Dungeon Fighter Online.
Dungeon Fighter Online lasted until 2013 but was then replaced in 2015 with a modified version of the game that actually used English text. Helpful for an American audience.
Now we have the anime.
The show’s name is Arad: Gyakuten no Gear (or Arad: Reversal of Fate in English).
It’s technically the second game based on the game since there was a 26 episode run of Slap Up Party: Arad Senki too and I think that’s why this video says “Season 2”.
The trailer isn’t subtitled, but there’s very little dialogue. A single warrior faces off against a charging army that begins to transform into warriors. As the fight begins, we tour through various powerful characters, and they all seem to have a vested interest in the skirmish.
We’re still waiting to discover whether, like the game before it, the Arad Senki anime makes it west of Japan.
