Ram Skull Games are so new that their Facebook page was created on the 26th of June.
It’s clear that very many more months of work have gone into their first product, though, Myrrk Book One: The Blighted Well as the isometric gamebook funded on Kickstarter in hours.
The Blighted Well takes the idea of Fighting Fantasy style gamebook, adds isometric dungeons, more rules and creates a more fully-fledged solo RPG experience. You can check out its progress on Kickstarter.
If you’re not familiar with the genre then, don’t worry, it’s easy to get into. Pick up Myrrk: The Blighted Well as you would a novel and start turning the pages of the book. You’ll soon get the chance to make a decision and depending on your answer you’ll skip forward to an appropriately numbered page.
Myrrk adds in RPG mechanics and random encounters with plenty of images.
It takes just a pledge of £5 to get the ebook version of The Blighted Well, any stretch goals and a thank you.
If you can find £15 for the project, then you’ll get the paperback version of the book, a limited edition bookmark, a sticker and the ebook with stretch goals.
At the time of writing, most backers have gone higher, finding £30 for a hardback upgrade of the book.
The estimated delivery date is December of this year. Ram Skull Games say the book is written and illustrated.
