Takashi Sano, the director of the smash-hit Tower of God anime, is the talent behind this surprise Rick and Morty short.
The anime Rick and Morty smashup aired during Adult Swim Con’s Toonami edition. The busy online event also gave us news of a partnership with anime giant Crunchyroll to bring Fena: Pirate Princess to Toonami too.
At over 8 minutes long, this Rick and Morty special is much longer than the previous short we’ve had of these two characters. It casts the familiar pair into a strange multi-verse drama in which someone or something is known as the Genocider and busy erasing people from the timeline.
