Astral Tabletop, the browser-based virtual tabletop and DriveThruRPG partner, has been aggressively expanding its marketplace of assets.
Astral offers tiers of accounts. You can have a log in for free or pay for an upgrade. The latter provides access to thousands of media assets for free. However, there’s also a marketplace to buy more goodies from other third-party creators. It’s that marketplace which has seen more than 1,400 new contributions.
Highlighted in an update log, are Astral’s sound options. In a virtual tabletop, the GM has the option to play atmospheric sounds or background music for players.
For example, there’s Aquatic Music Loops from the Audio Alchemist. If you wonder what they sound like, you can preview each one at Astral, although a computer voice speakers over the start of each one to discourage theft.
Alternatively, there’s found on Soundcloud whereas the Big Monster Sounds are brought to terrifying life via a YouTube clip.
