Thank you Cartoon Network. They’ve commissioned a whole new series of ThunderCats.
The new series mixes swords with science as good and evil battle for the Stones of Power.
I suspect the new ThunderCats may have a slight anime feel as Warner Bros Animation are partnered with Studio 4C (The Animatrix) for the project.
Executive VP of Creative Affairs at WBA told press;
“In addition to being Warner Bros. Animation’s first anime series, ‘ThunderCats’ marks our most ambitious foray yet into fantasy,”
The realism and dynamic visual style we’ve achieved are sure to thrill viewers, and the cool weapons, vehicles and technology should help the show appeal to a diverse audience.”
There’s even a teaser thumbnail image from the new show.
The news comes as police investigate the probable murder of Steve Perry, creator of the ThunderCats.
