For some reason good Doctor Who t-shirts are surprisingly hard to find. Have you seen one with a TARDIS design, for example?
I think this might be due to the way authors have royality rights over their creations and the BBC’s careful protection of the franchise.
Turns out that Play.com has a fairly decent collection. In particular I like the close up of the Dalek owner’s guide.
Questions remain as to whether we’ll see any t-shirts from the Matt Smith Doctor Who season. For some strange reason I want a t-shirt that shows the Vincent Van Gogh Monster.
I debate whether this image would work as a t-shirt print (easily done via VistaPrint, for example) or whether the whole “The Church at Auvers” image would need to appear on the t-shirt. What’s the copyright on that? Surely if you’re not re-selling the “Monster at Auvers” t-shirt then you’ll be within acceptable use?
